William J. Emrhein has over thirty-five years of health care experience. Prior to joining EMRHEIN & ASSOCIATES, he was the Director of Reimbursement at a large teaching hospital in Ohio.
Mr. Emrhein has extensive experience in all aspects of third-party reimbursement including Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting, appeals, Medicare medical education issues, Medicare disproportionate share issues, Medicare bad debt issues, Medicare capital issues, Critical Access Hospital issues, Provider based department issues, long term care facility issues, skilled nursing facility issues, home health agency issues and home office reporting issues. In addition, he has extensive experience in planning issues, budgeting contractual allowances, financial projections/feasibility studies and physician payment issues. He also has extensive experience in all aspects of HMO, PPO and Blue Cross contracting.
Mr. Emrhein is a graduate of Ohio Northern University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, while majoring in Accounting. He obtained his Master of Business Administration from Cleveland State University. He is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and has served as a past President for the Northeast Ohio Chapter. He is also active in local professional and civic organizations.
Jennifer G. Brickner has over thirty-five years of health care experience. Prior to joining EMRHEIN & ASSOCIATES, she was the Director of Reimbursement at a large teaching hospital in Ohio.
Ms. Brickner has extensive experience in all aspects of third-party reimbursement including; Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting, appeals, Medicare education issues, Medicare disproportionate share issues, Medicare bad debt issues, Medicare capital issues and skilled nursing facility issues. In addition, she has extensive experience in planning issues, budgeting contractual allowances, financial projections/feasibility studies and physician payment issues. She also has extensive experience in all aspects of HMO, PPO and Blue Cross contracting including the development and implementation of capitated contracts.
Ms. Brickner is a graduate of Ashland University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, while majoring in Accounting and Finance. She is a Certified Public Accountant, non-practicing.
Daniel B. Folk has over twenty years of health care experience and joined EMRHEIN & ASSOCIATES in 1993.
Mr. Folk’s experience in third party reimbursement includes Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting, medical education issues, Medicare disproportionate share issues, Medicare bad debt issues, planning issues, home office cost report issues and financial projections/feasibility studies. He also has experience in square footage studies for Medicare cost reporting and cost accounting.
Mr. Folk is a graduate of Ohio State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
Andrew R. Emrhein joined EMRHEIN & ASSOCIATES in 2011.
